Happy New Year Cavalier Wrestling Club!

We are diving head first into the season this week with our first competition of the season.

Monday- Youth Practice at  Albemarle High School.  Important for everyone to attend so that we can solidify our rosters and prepare for Saturday’s event.

Tuesday-  NOTE: Time and Practice place change! Practice will be Albemarle High School at 6:30 pm due to a UVA mens basketball game at JPJ arena.  The Albemarle High wrestling room is in the back of the school next to the Gym (different from last year).

Thursday-  Middle School Match vs. Buford and Prospect Heights MS.  This is a middle school sanctioned event so only 6-8th graders may participate.  Fifth graders should attend the Youth practice at Albemarle High School. The match will take place in the Buford MS gym and we are asking that wrestlers report as close to 4:30 as possible.   Also make sure that you finger nails are trimmed before the match.   Youth practice is at Albemarle at 6:30 pm.

Saturday-  We have our first tri-meet of the league season at noon at Riverheads High School in Staunton.  More details will be forthcoming.

Again this is a very busy week ahead.  Look at the website and our facebook page for updates as well as my calls and emails.

Thank you all for supporting our coaching staff.

John Kammauff
