John Kammauff-CWC Youth Head Coach

Coach Kammauff grew up in Cumberland, MD and wrestled at Allegany High School where he was a conference champion and state placewinner.  After graduating he coached high school wrestling for 3 years (2 yrs in MD and 1 yr in WV).  He was the president and head coach of the Albemarle Bulldogs Wrestling Club and now serves at the Youth DIrector and Head Youth Coach of CWC for the past 5 years.  Coach Kammauff is a USA Wrestling Bronze Certified coach.
 


Brian Lee- CWC Assistant Coach 

Coach Lee grew up in Dayton, OH, where he wrestled for Oakwood High School. He was a Sectional Champion and State Qualifier as a senior, finishing in the top 8 at the State Tournament. He wrestled for the University of Toledo Club program, where he was ranked 4th nationally by the NCWA. After graduation, he spent 2 seasons coaching the Youth program at Oakwood. Coach Lee's Youth wrestlers were the foundation of the most successful stretch in Oakwood wrestling history, with 3 State Placers, 7 State Qualifiers, and 10 District Placers from 2009-2011, and back-to-back Top 5 finishes at the District tournament. In 2011, they tied a school record sending 4 wrestlers to State, and set a new school record for best team placement and most team points at State. Coach Lee is in his third season with the CWC.

Jim Harshaw-CWC Executive Director

Coach Harshaw wrestled at UVA where he was a 3x ACC Champion, 3x Virginia Collegiate state champion and an NCAA All American.   Harshaw was also a 2x ACC Scholar Athlete and an Academic All-American.  He currently stands in the top 5 on UVA's Career Wins, Season Wins, Matches Competed (Career & Season), Pins (Career & Season).  After college he served as the assistant coach at UVA for 2 seasons before taking over as head coach at Slippery Rock University in PA.  He returned to Charlottesville in 2004 to head up the Cavalier Wrestling Club.  He is the owner of Riot Sports Marketing
 


 
Steve Garland- CWC Secretary

CoachGarland grew up in Middletown, NY where he was a state runner-up.  He wrestled for Central Connecticut State University before transferring to UVA.  At UVA he became an ACC Champion and NCAA runner-up, UVA's first since Henry Jordan in 1952.  After graduating he became an assistant coach at Cornell University where he helped the Big Red become a top 5 program.  Travis Lee, a 125 lber like Coach Garland, was a 4x All American and 2x NCAA Champion, largely due to Garland's influence.  In 2006 he was voted the NWCA National Assistant Coach of the Year.  It was shortly afterward that UVA hired him to lead the Cavalier's.  Since his return he has led the program to 4 top 25 recruiting classes and it's highest ever preseason ranking (17th) in 2009-10.
 



Alex Clemsen- CWC Assistant Coach

Coach Clemsen grew up in Moberly, MO and attended Moberly Senior High School where he finished with a 158-7 career record and was an All-American. He twice posted perfect records, while winning the Missouri state championship three times and advancing to the state finals all four years. Clemsen also holds the state record with 27 tournaments won. In addition, he received Academic All-America honors.
After high school he attended Edinboro University where he was an All-American and four-time NCAA qualifier while posting a 121-35 career record. He was just the 14th wrestler to win four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championships, and he also was named an Eastern Wrestling League Champion. He ended his career with the ninth-most wins in Edinboro history.  At the international level, Clemsen was a University Nationals All-American and a University World Team Trials runner-up.
Clemsen also was a two-time Academic All-American, graduating with the highest GPA of any wrestler in school history.  He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration with concentrations in financial services and marketing.
Coach Clemsen worked the 2008 and 2009 seasons as Oregon State's Director of Wrestling Operations.

Jordan Leen- CWC Assistant Coach

A 2009 NCAA champion from Cornell, Leen is an assistant coach for the University of Virginia. He was an assistant coach at Duke for the 2010-11 season and worked closely with the middle weights. He recorded a strong career at Cornell, making four straight appearances in the NCAA tournament while wrestling at 149 and 157 pounds. The 2008 national champion at 157 pounds, Leen posted a career record of 118-29 and was a First-Team All-Ivy League selection three times.
